That video is sick. The best part is where some dude in front of the stage takes a punch right to his face and he doesn't even notice it. Then he swings wildly at like two dudes. Great shit.

I really like bands like Chain, Judge, YOT, etc. Like, A LOT, to a very uncool extent. I've come to realize that that music, though very "generic" and simple, can never really be replicated. Something about the "spark" at the time, y'know? Same reason there can never be another Germs.

Now, Floorpunch tried, tried REAL hard in the face of adversity (what adversity did Floorpunch face in their time? Listen to "Victory Style Vol. II" and all will be made clear) and bring that style back, which they failed at (gloriously). But I truly feel what they left behind was something that CAN be picked up and reworked. Like I said, there'll never be another YOT, but I think there'll be another, perhaps even a greater Floorpunch in our lives, and thinking about that makes me really look forward to the future, 'cause really, things look bleak right now for that style of music.

All i know is that Floorpunch makes me want to kill homos. But i think they got alot of the shit from that era and just ran with it at once. Fast parts, breakdowns, and youthy crew parts all at once made their arsenal fucking brilliant. To top Floorpunch is a hard thing to do
