I know CoD4 is definitely going to be an PC release 'cause they supposedly promised the PC community it since leaving them out on CoD3. I don't really care. Call of Duty and the genre is beat to death.

in my opinion, FPS's are the only reason video games should exist. but soccer and hockey games are fun too.

Most likely. Activision is a mini EA.

PS3, X360, PC.

You're gay and didn't own a SNES if you believe FPS are the only reason video games should exist.

the FP genre in general seems to be the way of the future of games though. I just don't believe the "S" in FPS will be a big factor in the future after every Sci-Fi/WW2/Vietnam etc. game on the planet seems the same (Basically... Right now). Oblivion and Condemned are fine examples of taking first person beyond just shooting shit.

That new COD4 trailer is hot though. I'm sure I'll enjoy it but a man can only take so much of the same old shit. That's why I prefered COD3 on Wii more than on X360.

Yeah, Acivision and EA think the same. "Buy this IP and make 30 sequels, don't add anything new to it just release the same game with better graphics and a different title every year, until no one buys it anymore. Oh and then make a shitty DS/PSP version and a Cell Phone spin off/prequel thingy." Then they high five each other and go to lunch.

Ubisoft kind of does that as well. But it's rare you'll play a bad Ubisoft published game. Even if it's the 3rd or 4th in the series.

Exactly. I back Ubisoft. The games that put out are extremely high end, at least PC wise. They've probably had the entire IL-2 title/franchise going on for... I don't know like 5-6 years maybe? And they're still releasing patches and expansions and content. The community around it is huge and they continue to support it because Ubisoft does a good job of supporting its developers and funding/back patches and updates.

There's a difference between Jap RPGs and Western RPGs though. Western RPGs are like Oblivion, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, Fable, etc. Western RPGs are breaking new ground in the RPG genre while JRPGs are recycling the same gameplay mechanics and cliches over and over. It's amazing how after all these years the Final Fantasy games are the only JRPs being really original. The last good JRPG I played was Shadow Hearts: From the New World. Gustavo can agree with me on that one.

Vince, I think you would be into Western style RPGs. Most people are since they focus more on action and not as much on storytelling through cutscenes and animations.
