I was talking to my friend yesterday who is a total Sony fanboy and I was telling him about the XBL Party of 8 thing they're doing. He said he would never be interested in doing something like that. His only experience in the online world is PS3. I told him if he saw how easy shit like that is to do on the 360 he would probably be excited for it. Fuck, It's pointless to ever hook my PS3 up online. There's nothing to do on PSN.

No, but honestly (coming from a non biased non fanboy point of view) 360 is the better choice. The only thing the 360 doesn't have over the PS3 (IMO) is the Blu Ray player and bluetooth connectivity. If you look at price, online, GAMES, features, community, the 360 beats the hell out of it. It's sad because I really like my PS3.
If you don't care for all the extra caca and you just want to play games then the 360 is the obvious way to go.

Nope. I wouldn't say it's not coming though. The details probably weren't ready for E3 (or maybe it's not happening haha). There are rumors floating around everywhere that Microsoft is actually going to let other companies (Toshiba, Panasonic, etc.) manufacture XBOX 360's. Those could probably end up being 360's with blu ray capabilities. It's not a new thing for game systems. Remember the Panasonic Q?
Microsoft is really big on the digital download thing though. They're trying to convince people that renting or buying HD movies through their PC or 360 is the way of the future but I don't see why they wouldn't want to get in on the whole blu ray thing. $$$$$
