One of the most depressing moments of my life was staying the night at these punx in Bakersfield's house. They were all glued to the TV set watching Viva La Bam, and at first I was like "eh, whatever, nothing else is on TV, you flip past MTV2 and you're stoned, you get caught watching it, whatever." They I realized they were watching it on a DVD which someone owned, and I facepalmed.
There's something REALLY REALLY depressing to me about owning a lot (like, over 20) DVDs. I mean, I'm guessing I got 50ish and I hate it. In my defense, it's all horror stuff, comedies I really like, a handful of adult swim shows and punk shit (and of course loads of hentai), that is to say, stuff that holds some sort of significance in my life. When I see shit like Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Family Guy, any season of any network television show, or like, even adequate, "whatever" movies, like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas or Kill Bill, part of me just dies inside. Like, "do you really care about this stuff? Are you really gonna watch these that often?" And if the answer is yes, that's even more sad.
So yeah, I imagine Dan Cole's "collection" would bring me to tears. "FOUR seasons of Full House, dude? FOUR!?!"
