I love your appeal to turn the humiliation elsewhere. If we're such a low team in the world pecking order, how low can Mexico be? Look, the U.S. is obvi a sub-standard soccer team when compared to the majority of european, and a few south american squads, yet we are continually developing. Mexico, at one point - a while ago, had that talent and ability to cause at least a ripple in the ocean of world-wide soccer. As of late, they've lost any ability to play as a team, thus they've become simply a speed bump in the world, well when they can make it to world wide competitions - see the last olympics for an example. No one is claiming that the U.S. is the best team, well people do but not with any sense of rationality behind it, but we're still moving up the ladder, instead of loosing any footing on it at all. P.s. here is a prime example of why Mexico is falling apart, mostly from the hands of their own players and coaches. Mexico's assistant coach Paco Ramirez slapped Frankie Hejduk after the match http://www.univision.com/content/vid...ml?cid=1835906 look on the right side of the page for the video called "agresion de paco ramirez a hejduk" What a joke they make themselves to be. If this isnt enough, and I sincerely hope he gets fined, and possibly banned form FIFA for such a ignorant act. Look at Marquez' foul on Tim Howard tonight. Mexico has such an idealized and proud view of their soccer culture that they refuse to allow any criticism, blame or room for improvement. So to summarize, I hope Mexico doesnt qualify for the 2010 and continue to be the embarrassment that they've become. |

I'm not having this discussion here, but maybe you can teach me about Mexican soccer culture. See you when I see you, homie.

I bet if you ask Dan Cole about this he would have a really good explanation that talks about how all the mexicans are already in the US and how all the other people are selling drugs. But hey, Morrissey is cool, you should check out his new album.
