Default what happened to paul lima?

Paul Lima, 10, Singer for the Skullbusters, 1982 on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

i imagine tim might be the only one that could answer this question. did he stick around in the punk scene through the eighties, or did he peace out and become a metalhead? any stories?

it's weird to think that he's only 7 years older than i am.

Sadly, the kids in Old Skull are probably ten years younger than me.

I don't know what happened to him, but judging that the description of the photo says that he lived in El Cajon...hmmm.

That's a great thread of photos that'll give people a little idea of "punk" in San Diego in the early 80's, just before bands like Black Flag ushered in the "hardcore" era.
These would've been your (much older - at least looking) peers...

Mike Milsap family & friends, Irish Parade 1982.jpg on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Tasha's music is now on 5th, before Grape, just north of the 5.

I went in the other day and got a Smiths - Stop me if you think... in mint condition for 4.00$

Really nice dude, asked me to "spread the word" as he could use the business, so there ya go.

Tim-

Did you ever see the Tokyos? They have a great 10" EP but I think that's all they did while they were around. Rave Up did a reissue several years ago including some live tracks and rehearsal items, but I've never actually heard of anybody ever seeing the band play.

As I look at these pics, I wonder if the pics my generation/current generation took will be looked at with the same fascination and interest.

i can see the caption now: "this guy was in a mediocre straight edge band, then he started to drink and became a boring regular dude and nobody saw him around anymore (except for the occasional northern soul night)"

vs.

"these guys shot and killed eachother", "ended up in mental hospitals", "drowned"
