Default we're not in this alone

What's the consensus? I cannot for the life of me get into this record, any version (though the 1997 rev repress sounds best to my ears...carl cordova once called me a poser for saying this, lol). Obviously bdtw and ccme are some of the best hc records ever, but this one just will not click.

If anyone has the euro pressing on funhouse or either the first or second Caroline mixes...HOLLA.

Love this record. While I think No More is the cheesiest song ever and skip it, the rest of the album is great from the get go.

WE'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just see it as...So drastically different from "Break Down the Walls." I guess that's what happens when you replace Craig Ahead/Richie B w/ dudes from Gorilla Biscuits.

Favorite Youth Of Today record. Prefer the Caroline original over the later one. The first one has the levels maxed out - everything is more distorted and raw.

Bad record. Weren't the vox tacked on like, months after it was recorded? It sounds like it. Good recording, though, don fury 1990 was unstoppable. I really can't stand when ray tries to even remotely sing in a melodic voice, and like, that "groove" break in the middle of disengage is like, the opposite of what I loke to hear on a yot record.

Its also like, THE record that changed the game (for the worse) with sehc. Like, if you had to pinpoint the moment where sxe "jumped shark," that's it. Nothing really came out after that record in the genre that would top what came before it. Unless you're a big Vision fan.

Are you talking about the Disengage 7"? That record is great too.

i'm a firm believer that y.o.t. got worse with each record. ccme is my absoute favorite, bdtw comes very close, wnita is a decent record that i still only own on cassette for some reason...haha (one day i'll nab a vinyl copy), and even though i strongly dislike the last 7" (mostly because of the vocals) i can't bear to rid myself of it.

shelter and the ray and porcell 7" are garbage. i used to love shelter back in the early 90's and the first record gets somewhat of a pass due to the involvement of capone and members of 76% uncertain, but i gave up on that band completely at least a dozen years ago (if not more).
