All ages and free. Very cool place. The show made me wonder, does anybody do compilation albums anymore?

there are still a few decent comps that come out here and there. nothing earth shattering like most of the classics, though, and very rarely are they "all killer/no filler".

a few years back i had starting planning an idea for a local 12" comp with multiple songs from each band. i started bouncing ideas off of spence and we came up with stuff like "all bands recording at the same studio for a consistent sound" and "all of the bands would contribute equal finances towards the record", so it would have been more of a group project rather than a label putting it out (thus making it something to be even more proud of scene-wise). if i recall correctly, the bands that were going to be on it were crime desire, life crisis, last priest, s.b.v., safe inside, bumbklaat, and (i think) all the waste i see, though i'm not sure we ever made it far enough in the process to ask the last 2 bands.

i don't know what happened...i guess it just became very hard to organize like most compilations are. probably would have been a cool record, though.

Were gonna record a song for a comp. But besides that i've been wanting to put out some sort of CV comp.

We're also recording a song for a comp that should be out in the fall.

recording for comps is the worst...i think s.b.v. recorded for 2 or 3 comps that never came out. the biggest bummer was "histeria vol.3" never getting released...at least one of those songs finally came out on some tape comp from germany like 5 or 6 years after the fact...ha!
